Padres beat Red Sox 10-6

The Padres were able to outlast a strong Red Sox team, and hung on for the victory.  This was a great game played by both teams.  The Padres took an early lead and scored four runs in the first. The Red Sox responded though with a five spot in the second inning and took the lead 5-4.  The Padres tied the game in the next inning (third) and it stayed that way until the bottom of the fourth when the Padres added five more runs to make it 10-5.  The top of the fifth started off with some late game heroics as Brandon Curtis belted a homerun and made it 10-6.  Luckily for the Padres, Cameron Kelly settled down from there and struck out the side to preserve the victory.

The Red Sox pitching staff led by Brandon Curtis, Izaiah Skiesto, and Sam Cunniffe struck out 8 Padres batters. While the Padres led by Jack Costa, Sota Matsuda, and Cameron Kelly struck out 10.  The Red Sox offense was led by Brandon Curtis 2 hits and Sam Cunniffe 1 hit.  The Padres offense was led by Cameron Kelly and Dante Solitro who both had 2 hits and Sota Matsuda who had 1.
