The Mets visited the Phillies on Thursday night for a National league matchup on Dean 3.    The Mets came out swinging in the first getting two runners aboard featuring a single by Justin Lee.   The Phillies starting pitcher Drew Vincequere was able to get out of the jam by striking out the next two batters without any damage. The Mets starting pitcher Andrew Milani came out throwing well and struck out the side in the bottom of the first.   The good pitching continued for both teams in the 2nd inning with most of the outs coming by the 'K'.   The top of the third inning had the Mets once again with base runners on when a hard hit ball down the right field line was picked up and gunned to first base for the out, a great heads up play by right fielder Finn Daley and first baseman Jake Record.  The bottom of the third inning saw hits by Drew Vincequere, Luke Harrington and Hugo Anderson helping the Phillies build an 8-0 lead.  The Mets came right back at the Phillies in the top of the 4th with hits by Isaac Diaz and Andrew Guarini helping the Mets get a run across.   Finn Daley continued his great relief effort in the top of the fifth recording three strikeouts to get out of a bases loaded jam as Justin Lee, Andrew Milani an Carson Shultz had reached base for the Mets.   Finn and Luke Harrington both pitched a scoreless top of the 6th to end the night.    Game balls were handed out to Drew V for his two hits and great starting pitching as well as Hugo Anderson for his first hit of the season which started a big inning for the Phillies.  Good luck to both teams the rest of the season!
