Fans that stuck around for the late game Thursday night saw the Mets host the Rangers on Dean 1.  These 2 met earlier in a game postponed due to the rain.

The Rangers have had some hot bats lately and looked to continue with Joe Naras leading off with a single.  That's the only hit they would get in the inning however, leaving 2 stranded.  The Mets half of the inning saw 7 Mets come to the plate for and 3 hits and 1 walk and pushed 1 runner, Justin Lee across the plate.  Mets - 1  -  Rangers - 0 after the 1st.

The 2nd inning the Rangers struggled to get things started and went quietly on 4 batters.  The Mets however started a 2 out rally with 3 straight singles in their half of the inning but the Rangers Joe Naras got the next batter, leaving the bases full of Mets.  Still 1-0 Mets after 2.

The next 2 innings saw the Rangers bats start to warm up again and with some timely hitting and patient at bats they were able to push 3 runs across in each inning.  Combined with the Ranger's Patrick Matthews on the hill shutting down the Mets bats and a quick double play which helped his cause kept the Mets off the base paths.  After 4, Rangers 6 - Mets 1.

After the Rangers are able to push one more run across in the top half of the 5th, They sent their closer Joey Guidotti to the mound.  He was feeling it this night and retired the side on 3 Ks.  The top of the 6th inning saw the Rangers patience at the plate and a timely bases loaded bomb by Joey G. for a triple to score 5 more runs before the side was retired.  Looking to get 3 more outs, Joey was sent back out to the hill.  After 3 hard fought at bats however Joey got 3 more Ks to secure the win for the Rangers.

Good luck to both teams the rest of the season.
