It was the Phillies vs the Mets, two teams very familiar with each other playing it out at Dean Tuesday night. On the mound for the Phillies was Finn Daly and for the Mets was Carson Schutlz. The Mets scored quickly in the first off of some heads up base running by Anthony Santiago, Justin Lee and Isaac Diaz.

In the second, the Phillies would answer right back. Scoring for the Phillies, Drew Vincequere with a lead off double, Jake Record and Spencer Loughlin, all getting hits and all running the bases hard. The Mets would come out to tack on 2 more runs to go up 5-3 at the end of 2.

Carson pitched solid and would finish out the top of the 3rd to hold the score. The 3rd saw the Mets score 3 runs but were stopped from scoring more by a hard hit line drive that was caught by Drew and a strikeout would end the run and leave the bases loaded. 8-3 Mets at the end of 3.

Tatum Warren and Luke Harrington would score off of their lead off hits in the 4th but Isaac would strike out 3 in a row with the bases loaded to end the inning and hold the score 8-5.

The Phillies would threaten again in the 5th, adding a run and with the bases loaded, Finn Daly would smash a rocket up the middle only to be caught backhanded by Anthony Santiago. He then scrambled to 2nd to get the force out. Great play!

The Mets scored 3 runs in the 5th off hits by Justin and Carson. Mets lead 11- 6 at end of 5.

Justin came out to close out the 6th for the Mets. The Phillies came out ready to rally and scored 3 runs but Justin settled in and finished strong to get the remaining outs to close out a hard fought game. Final score 11-9. Good luck to both teams in the final week and heading into the playoffs!
