It was a great night for baseball on Dean 3 for the night game as the Phillies played host to the As.

The Phillies sent Drew Vincequere to the mound and the As struck quickly. Riley Ford got on with a walk, then stole second, moved up to third on a single by Michael Halloran. On the delayed double steal, Ford stole home. Halloran was able to move along the base paths and eventually stole home after Brendan Sheard walked and stole second base. Sheard eventually made it home. Jake Record led off the bottom half of the inning with a walk, but the As made it out of the inning with a 3-0 lead.

In the second, the As added another run after Eli Shaw got on with a walk, the stole second, third and home. Vincequere quieted the As down by striking out three in the inning. Billy Porter lead off the Phillies inning with a walk, he moved along the base path with a walk to Keith Hallacy and a hit by Spencer Loughlin, but was tagged out at home by Alex Shaw.  However, Hallacy was able to make it home. As lead 3-1.

Things got rolling for the As in the third. Alex Shaw led off with a walk. After stealing two bases, Matt Arsenault drove him home with a close play at the plate. Then two more walks and Thomas Crowley knocked in two runs with a double. Then Theo Hendricks drove in Crowley with an RBI to left field. Tatum Warren tried to get things going for the Phillies by legging out a single. He moved along the diamond and scored. As lead 9-2

Jesse Zheng led off the fourth inning for the As with a single and then stole two bases. Alex Shaw and Arsenault both had RBI singles in the inning. The Phillies kept fighting, with Luke Harrington leading off with a single to centerfield. He would eventually score. As lead after four, 12-3.

The Phillies brought in reliever Jake Record. We would record five strikeouts in his two innings of work. The As brought in Alex Shaw who gave up a walk to Hallacy who would go on to score. Alex Shaw would strike out four in his two innings of work.

It was a great game and atmosphere for both teams who meet up again Sunday afternoon.  Good luck to both teams.
