On Thursday night Dean Park was host to the much anticipated match-up between the undefeated Red Sox and the red hot Rangers.  As anticipated the Rangers sent out the ace Joey Guidotti to start the game.  In typical Guidotti fashion Joey retired the side on 3 Ks.  The Rangers then stepped to the plate to face Will McLaren.  Some hard fought ABs and and some timely hits plated 4 of the Rangers in the inning to give them the lead.

With the lead Joey went out again and did his thing and struck out the side.  The Rangers remained hot against McLaren and DuBois who came on in relief and were able to push across 4 more runs.  At the end of 2, Rangers 8 - Red Sox 0

The 3rd inning had the Red Sox looking to make a move.  And after a lead-off walk the Sox had eyes on the plate.  Joey battled and retired the next 3 Sox to stop any idea of a Sox rally.  The Rangers then made certain this was their day and after some patience at the plate and some very timely hits they were able to push across more runs.

Rangers brass then went to Joe Naras to try to close out the game.  The Sox rallied and after a long bomb of a triple by Evan Romano the Sox had put 4 runs on the board.  Naras settled down however and the Rangers were able to stop the rally for the end the game.

Good luck to both teams the rest of the way and they play again on Sunday.
