On a cool and rainy Sunday afternoon the Red Sox and Rangers held a rematch of their game 3 days earlier.  This game would turn out to be an absolute slug fest.  Both teams had excellent pitching from all the boys who took the mound, but the story for this game was all about the bats.  The Rangers got right down to business in the first with Veer Bhasin driving in Veer Bhatia with a sharp single to take a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the first.  The Red Sox clearly had the loss to the Rangers on Thursday night still on their minds and exploded for 6 runs in the first.  Singles by Kunal Chauhan, Owen Michalowski, Jake Brodeur, Will McLaren, Connor Alarie and an RBI from Wheels on a hard hit out provided the fire power for the Red Sox in the first.  The Rangers came roaring back with 5 runs of their own in the 2nd to tie things at 6.  The Rangers showed patience at the plate, aggressive base running and another big hit by Veer to fight back with 5 runs.  The Red Sox were not to be outdone and answered with 3 runs of their own in the bottom of the 2nd to take a 9-6 lead after 2.  Owen M. got things rolling with a shot to right center for a solid triple.  Evan promptly followed with a double driving in Owen.  Jake and Will each singled in runs as well.  Harry Miles came in to pitch the 3rd and he was dealing.  Harry set the Rangers down in order with 3 Ks.  Patrick Mathews came on for the Rangers and matched Harry with a beautiful 1-2-3 inning of his own with a pair of Ks.  The fans were able to catch their breadth a bit in the 3rd with no scoring.  In the 4th the Rangers were back at it, scoring 2 more runs, keyed by a double by Patrick Mathews to pull within 1 of the Red Sox.  The Sox were able to pad their lead a bit in the 4th with 2 big runs.  Red Sox 11, Rangers 8 after 4.  The 5th would see the Rangers take the lead with very 5 big runs.  Will Kelleher got things started with a single and Veer, Joe Naras, Patrick and Veer would all follow with singles.  After Chris Kyriacou reached base Luke Willingham delivered a huge double to drive in 2 runs giving the Rangers a 13-11 lead.  Joe Naras was on the mound for the Rangers in the 5th and with some nifty pitching held the Sox scoreless in the 5th.  So we head to the 6th inning with the Rangers up 13-11.  The Rangers lead off with a walk and a single by Jussiah Falcon putting runners on 1st and 2nd.  Veer hit a hard line drive that Connor Alarie was able to pluck out of the air and flip to Kunal at 2nd base for what ended up being a triple play to get the Sox out the jam.  Great job Connor.  The Red Sox needed 2 to tie and 3 to win in the bottom of the 6th.  Rally caps were everywhere in the Sox dugout.  Owen, Evan and Philip each singled to start the 6th.  After an infield out the Red Sox had tied the game at 13 and had Philip standing on 3rd.  Will came up and delivered the clutch walkoff RBI with sharp single to center to seal the come back victory for the Red Sox.  What a game!  Neither team would give in and kept fighting back each time they got behind.  Awesome job boys!  Best of luck to both teams the rest of the season and in the playoffs.
