The crowd at Edgemere soaked in the rays and 75 degree weather as the Angels visited the Indians in a game rescheduled from the previous day’s rainout.  Veteran 12 year-old Eli Cardosi took the mound for the Indians while the Angels handed the ball to 12 year-old Charlie Goodchild for his season pitching debut.

The Angels got on the board with 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning on singles by Connor Mudd and Andrew Miao and a nice triple by Caleb Juaire.  The Indians answered by plating a run of their own off walks by Ryan Kinsky and Nick Berg, a HBP by Josh Sacco and an RBI groundout by Eli Cardosi.

The Angels opened up the game in the 2nd with Zach Bowley earning two walks, Connor Mudd walking and hitting a triple, Ben Griffith walking and hitting a single, Andrew Miao with two singles, Caleb Juaire with a single and a double, Brad Reynolds with a single, and Charlie Goodchild with a HBP.  Eddy Naras took the mound in the bottom of the inning for the Angels and he retired the first batter he faced by way of a strikeout.  Cooper Ackerman hit a hard single up the middle that caught Naras on the knee; while Naras iced down his ailment the Angels called on Zach “RZ” Bowley to take over on the bump.  RZ was feeling good after retiring his first batter by way of a strikeout, but then Chase Kinsky stepped in and ripped a line shot single up the middle… great hit Chase!  Bowley recovered and retired the final batter of the inning on a groundout with no runs scored.

After having recorded the final out of the 2nd inning, Ryan Kinsky returned to the mound in the top of the 3rd and he was throwing gas.  He rang up 3 consecutive strikeouts on only 11 pitches to quickly retire the Angels… great pitching Ryan!  The Indians plated 3 runs in the bottom of the inning off hits by Josh Sacco, Eli Cardosi and Jack Dufault.

The Angels touched the plate two more times in the top of the 4th off hits by Connor Mudd and Ben Griffith and a sacrifice fly by Caleb Juaire.  The Indians also plated two runs in their half of the inning after Chase Orciuch was hit by a pitch, Logan Miller walked, Ryan Kinsky singled and Josh Sacco walked.

Good luck to both teams as the regular season rapidly concludes and these ball clubs look to make some noise in the playoffs.
