It was another chilly day by the lake at Field 3. The Nationals were hosting the Padres and trying to give them their first loss of the season.

Christian Prizo took the mound for the Nationals and was strong through 2 innings with 6 k's and no runs. Strong Padres defense helped Sota Matsuda battled out of a jam in the first with two great plays and no runs.

In the bottom of the 2nd  the Nationals struck for 3. Highlighted by a Kieran Kelly two run single.

Kieran made quick work of the Padres batters in the top of the third getting three out in a row. In the bottom of the third The Nationals struck for 5 more and it seemed the game was getting out of reach.

But in the top of the 4th the Padres got 2 runs back all on staying patient at the plate and laying off those bad pitches. Andrew Blanchette came in with two outs and the bases loaded to get a big strikeout and end the inning.

In the bottom of the 4th the Nationals would get 2 runs. But with the bases loaded it was Cameron Kelly to the rescue getting 2 k's and three huge outs in a row to stop anymore Nationals from scoring.

In the final at bat for the Padres in the Top of the 5th as time ran down two big hits from Cameron and Adam Trani and a whole lot of keen eyes at the plate fueled the Padres amazing 8 run tying comeback!

Another strong final at bat for the Nationals saw them with the winning run at third base but Cameron Kelly bared down to get the final out on a huge full count strike out and preserve the tie game 10-10!

In the long awaited continuation It was Will Tonelli hitting a huge line drive double to right center to get into scoring position. Andrew Blanchette would then be the hero for the Nats as he lined one down the left field line plating Will for the walk off win!
