Great comeback by the Sox today falls just short.

Sox pitching started off slow. Sturbridge Padres jumped to an 11-3 lead. Krew Durpey continued his fine pitching this year going in relief for 4 inn today with 7 k's  to keep the Sox in it.

Red sox kept chipping away with runs in the 2nd, 4th inning to cut the big lead down to 3.

Ian Taylor continued his great pitching striking out the 4 batters he faced.

In the bottom of the 5th, as time was expiring, the Sox had one more chance. Walks to the Chamberlain twins (Jackson and Ben) would bring up Demitrios Athanasiou who would get his first hit of the year! A huge one up the middle that would plate Jackson. Up came Max Caputo with no outs and a pitching change would be made. Max let a 2-0 fastball rip toward Second and the Sturbridge shortstop would make what may be one of the plays of the year snagging the line drive immediately stepping on second as his momentum was sending him right to it and then he kept sprinting right at the runner coming from first for a triple Play!!!!!! Game was over just like that. These games continue to be amazing ever time. The Sox were a little down and stunned but they will leave knowing they have a lot of fight and come back quality in them!

Good luck to both teams the rest of the year.
