Coming off of a big win the night before at Dean Park, the Indians looked to keep it rolling as the squared off with the Red Sox in a Sunday matinee matchup.                

In the top of the first, Indians sparkplug Jake Linton led off by smashing a double off Red Sox starter Nathan Brodeur. Walks to Jack Molter and Charlie Kent loaded the bases.   Linton and Molter scored when Jack Auen walked and Cole Hunt was hit by a pitch. In the bottom of the first, Jake Linton struck out the first two batters. The Red Sox scored when Rylen Moore and Brendan Dowd crushed back to back doubles.   The Red Sox scored four more runs on walks to Daniel Glarza, Cam Moore, Daniel Barrentos, Harry Walther, William Goh and a hit by pitch on Tyler Galdi.

 In the top of the second, Cameron Marley led off with a walk.  The speedster promptly stole second base. Joey Cerchio drew a walk. Jesse Dullea smashed a single to load the bases.   Brian Healy, Jake Linton and Charlie King all drew walks with the bases loaded to knock in runs. The Indians capped off the inning with timely hitting by Charlie Kent and Colson Cotter, who both knocked in runs with singles. In the bottom of the second, the Red Sox loaded the bases with a Nathan Brodeur double, a Rylen Moore single, and a Brendon Dowd hit by pitch. However, Jake Linton wasn’t bothered as he stayed cool and worked his way out of the inning without allowing any runs.

In the top of the third, the Indians offense could not be stopped as they continued their parade of runs. The bases were loaded on walks to Jack Auen, Cole Hunt and Vismay Prasad. Cameron Marley knocked two runs home with a clutch double. The Indians added three more runs on walks to Joey Cerchio, Jesse Dullea, Jake Linton and a hit by pitch on Jack Molter. In the bottom of the third, the Red Sox appeared as if they could mount a comeback. Cam Moore slammed a triple. Daniel Barrentos walked and stole second. The bases were loaded when Harry Walther walked. Jack Molter put out the fire, dousing any hope of a comeback by striking out the side.

As the push to the playoffs continues,  both teams showed a high level of energy with many clutch plays in key situations.
